Sunday Brunch Club - Week 68

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I was really hoping I would get to put a birth announcement in this newsletter, but as of the day I’m writing this it doesn’t look like that will be the case. Baby boy is apparently very comfortable in there and has decided to stay well past his due date 😅. I’m definitely getting antsy and ready to meet him, but I’m trying to remind myself that no one stays pregnant forever and he will be here at some point. In the meantime, Nick and I have been trying to soak up these last days as just us two, and my parents have been in town so we’ve all been enjoying some dinners out.
I absolutely love my job and everything I get to do with Fueling Forward, but I will say it has been nice to have the week off to do nothing. I haven’t taken this much time off since starting my business 7 years ago! Of course I am still doing a few things, like the Fall Marathon Group Nutrition Coaching Program, so if you’re running a fall marathon you can check out that program and apply to join us covering all things nutrition as you ramp up for your race. If you’re interested in working with me when I get back into the office in August, you can also sign up for my waitlist to be the first to know when I have spots opening up.
In Today’s newsletter:
What’s for dinner? I’ve planned out your week in meals and snacks so you don’t have to! Check out my menu plan for the week, and some simple recipes to go with it.
Weekly tip: We all know the feeling when your alarm goes off, and you wish you could stay in bed for an extra hour or two. Today, we’re talking about things you can do to wake up feeling a bit more refreshed.
Science corner: Activated charcoal is a supplement that’s been around in the health and wellness space for a few years. Today, we’re looking to see if it can actually help with recovery, inflammation, and performance for athletes.
Food for thought: As I wait to enter this entirely new phase of life, I’ve been trying to focus on staying patient and remembering to enjoy each day. I wanted to share my thoughts on appreciating the moment we’re in as much as we can, so when we look back we know we took advantage of the good old days.
