Sunday Brunch Club - Week 30

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I spent the weekend catching up on things around the house, and it feels good to finally have a clean house 😅. I also went to a reformer Pilates class on Saturday, which I’ve been doing weekly and have been absolutely loving. It has made a huge difference in how I feel running, and has really helped keep my adductor injury from flaring up. If you haven’t tried it before, I highly recommend it!
Speaking of training, I can hardly believe that 2 weeks from today I’ll be racing the New York City Marathon! This week was a big week, and I definitely felt a little more tired than usual coming off of last weekend’s 20 miler. On Thursday, we did 2×5 miles at race pace and it went really well. I’m starting to feel more confident that I can reach my race day goal, which is super exciting! Today was a 15 mile long run, and it’s weird to say that 15 miles felt short. We did a little bit of a pick up the last 20 minutes, and it was hard but nice to get moving a little bit. Next week will be my last big workout, then the taper begins!
I’m running the New York City Marathon as a charity runner for Trackgirlz, an incredible non-profit organization that works to provide girls access to mentorship and sport through track and field empowerment programs. To help meet my fundraising goal of $4500, I’m partnering with Hettas, a shoe designed for women. For every $50 you donate, you get 1 entry to win a Race Day Package, which includes a free pair of Hettas shoes, a t-shirt, a race day fueling strategy session with me, and more fun items from brands who support women in sport. If you’re interested in donating to enter the giveaway, can do so HERE. Even if you’re not able to donate $50, I so appreciate donations of any amount!
