Rest Isn't Laziness

Sunday Brunch Club - Week 55

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We have had beautiful weather here in LA the past few days, so Nick and I took advantage of it by getting out to the track yesterday morning. I haven’t been on the track in a while, and while my workouts look different right now it still felt good to get moving. We also stopped at our favorite donut place, our tradition after workouts, which is always a weekend highlight for me.

Nick is a big golf fan, so we also watched the Master’s. Talk about athletes who have to compete under immense pressure! As a dietitian, I love seeing golfers use nutrition on the course. I saw some players eating a bar walking between holes, and saw a few with a shaker bottle immediately after a round. Running isn’t the only sport where nutrition plays a role in performance 👀.
