Keep Failing Forward

Sunday Brunch Club - Week 69

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I’m so happy to finally announce that baby boy made his arrival! I’ll share more in future newsletters, as I’m currently writing this on very little sleep 😅.

As we’ve been sitting in the apartment all day alternating between feeding, changing diapers, and sleeping, we’ve been watching all the sports and especially the World Cup. We’re looking forward to watching the final today!

In Today’s newsletter:

  • What’s for dinner? I’ve planned out your week in meals and snacks so you don’t have to! Check out my menu plan for the week, and some simple recipes to go with it.

  • Weekly tip: You’ve probably heard me talk about the performance plate model, so today I wanted to review what it is and how to build your plate using this visual model at meals based on your training load.

  • Science corner: If you have a smart watch, like a Garmin, you may have been told by your smart watch that your training status is “unproductive” 😅. Today, we’re looking at wearable devices as a whole and whether they can be helpful or harmful to you as an athlete.

  • Food for thought: As I enter the newborn trenches, I find myself in a new situation daily and there is a lot of uncertainty and fear around doing things wrong. I wanted to share my thoughts on staying confident in yourself, and not being afraid of failing.
