It's Taper Time
Sunday Brunch Club - Week 67

I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend! I’m writing this newsletter ahead of time because I have no idea when baby boy is going to make his arrival, so there’s a good chance if you’re reading this I’m in the process of bringing him earth side! Of course my hope is that by the time this publishes he’s here, but as I’ve mentioned many times I don’t really get a say in his arrival and it’s really common for first time moms to go past their due date. So there is also a good chance if you’re reading this I’m still sitting around waiting for him to make his big entrance.
Either way, we finished everything we needed to feel prepared last week and have been soaking up our last days just the two of us. The dog has no idea what she’s in for, and I can guarantee she’s going to be very sad not to be the baby anymore.

Food for thought: At the end of my pregnancy, my body has been forcing me to slow down. While I was initially resistant to this, I realized this is pretty similar to a taper. I wanted to share my thoughts on why tapering is just as important as working hard, and why people should lean into that down time.
